Cognizant Lead Quality Engineer in CHENNAI, India
Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Jenkins Java TestNG Jira Selenium Maven and PL/SQL. Experience in the Electronic Payments domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
Oversee the automation of test scripts using Selenium and TestNG to improve testing efficiency.
Provide expertise in Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
Utilize Java for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
Manage and track defects using Jira ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams.
Implement and maintain build automation using Maven to streamline the build process.
Perform database testing using PL/SQL to validate data integrity and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and adherence to best practices.
Mentor and guide junior quality engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in quality engineering and automation tools.
Qualifications
Possess strong technical skills in Jenkins Java TestNG Jira Selenium Maven and PL/SQL.
Have experience in the Electronic Payments domain is a plus.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Show proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
Have a solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
