University of Virginia IT Training Specialist, Associate - Revenue Cycle (EMR) in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Associate Training Specialist partners with Principal Trainers, and other teams, delilver training for new staff members at UVA Health. Responsibilties include preparing curriculum necessary for training users across two LMS systems, Workday and Oracle; Working with team members on various training requests, projects, and upgrades; And utilizing knowledge of the organization’s clinical and revenue cycle business requirements, Epic application capabilities, and technical skills to support Epic training initiatives.

  • Collaborate with and support Principal Trainers with upgrades, health system projects, training instruction, tip sheets, and any additional training needs.

  • Play an active role in documenting workflows, creating tip sheets and tracking changes that impact new hire training.

  • Responsible for achieving an in-depth understanding of the assigned application(s) and workflows.

  • Responsible for the set up and facilitation of training classes.

  • Conduct virtual, instructor-led, classroom training sessions, in-services, group and individual instruction.

  • Administer end-user proficiency assessments and ensure that they appropriately assess knowledge gained during virtual, instructor-led, or CBL training.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in support of Epic and operational iniatives

Position Compensation Range: $23.29 - $37.26 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required or Specialized Certification

Experience: No experience required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
