Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Electrician at the expert level, you will be responsible for executing a variety of maintenance repairs to ensure smooth operations within a steel mill. Your tasks will include troubleshooting control panels, conveyor systems, pumps, sensors, relays, circuits, and mixing equipment. You will also diagnose and maintain furnaces and their accessory equipment used in forging metal. This role demands major electrical troubleshooting skills such as diagnosing faults with a multimeter, reading schematics, hooking up motors, fault analysis of circuits, installing sensors, and working with PLC cabinets. Additionally, you will perform minor fabrication of equipment, including tack welding of small parts to assist mechanics and collaborate with the engineering team on upfitting projects. Adherence to all safety procedures and protocols is crucial to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large steel mill that processes recycled materials into building products. The mill features large hanger-style buildings without climate control. The environment is temperate in winter and can be hot in summer due to the foundry operations.
