Wells Fargo Lead Business Accountability Specialist - Compromised Data Leader in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Accountability Specialist within Consumer, Small & Business Banking (CSBB) to join the Compromised Data Program team, which helps oversee and mitigate privacy risk across the business group.

The Group Compromised Data Leader (GCDL) will serve as the compromised data subject matter expert for CSBB, and for CSBB-wide initiatives and daily activities, including but not limited to policy implementation, governance activities, standardization of CSBB processes, providing the business with reporting and analytics, communications, and liaising between business, and the Compromised Data Program team. The Group Compromised Data Leader is codified in the enterprise CD Policy and is responsible for understanding the compromised data and information risks affecting the CSBB business group, expectations for reporting incidents, playing the lead role in CD risk mitigation and incident closure activities, and promoting awareness and understanding of Compromised Data and its' Policy with all CSBB employees.

Additionally, the GCDL is solely responsible for conducting required training activities for employees, participating in investigative, documentative, and closure activities for compromised data incidents, as needed, using root-cause determinations to identify issues, patterns, or trends. The GCDL leads the development or updating of internal processes to mitigate future occurrences, participates in incident debriefs and simulation or walkthrough exercises, as the Compromised Data policy requires. The GCDL also engages Compromised Data for any regulatory, customer, or individual notifications, including those involving third parties or third-party arrangements, establishes appropriate procedures to enable CSBB to comply with the CD Policy, and identifies and documents compromised data issues according to the Issue Management Policy and Escalation Management Procedures. Finally, the GCDL collaborates with the primary points of contact and other risk leaders to address areas of concern by following the Escalation Management Procedures.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in large-scale, cross-functional planning for the business

  • Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring

  • Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

  • Act as liaison for the business with external parties to support timeliness, appropriate response strategy, and effectiveness of communications and materials

  • May lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Ability to develop procedures and identify risks and controls.

  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management framework concepts, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.

  • Ability to analyze data, compile, and present visuals in executive summaries.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders.

  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to develop operational reporting and perform complex data and trend analysis.

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

New York, NY: $133,300 - $237,100 Annually.
