GENERAL FUNCTION:

Leadership role in structuring and cash flow modelling transactions across transportation and consumer (including small ticket equipment) ABS sectors for both primary issuances in the public markets, private placement transactions, and loans. Responsible and accountable for pitching, creating structuring/modeling content for pitch/marketing material, reviewing deal documentation, direct interaction and leading dialogue and discussion with the rating agencies, and marketing of notes to investors. Key role in origination and distribution of new issue ABS.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain models for analysis of new issue ABS, private placement bond structures, and various forms of loan structures in a variety of applications such as Intex, Excel, or DealVector

  • Drive and maintain relationships with various constituents of transaction including the internal risk team, ABS Issuer, counsel, rating agencies, Relationship Managers and DCM Originators, syndicate team, and investors

  • Create the structure, assist with distribution, and create stressed or conditional modeling scenarios based on rating agency or investor feedback which can be iterative

  • Use the modeling tools, rating agency framework, and technical analysis as part of structuring the transaction and provide structural ideas/optimization to clients during pitching and/or incorporating investor feedback

  • Work with Asset-Backed Finance team to help prepare pitch and marketing materials for both internal and external use and in discussions with Issuers and investors

  • Participate in meetings and road-show meetings with investors and respond to all investor queries

  • Provide leadership and input for the relevant structural sections in documentation and negotiation of warehouse, private placement note, and ABS new issue

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5-7+ years of experience with a rating agency, banking, or accounting firm

  • Degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, or other analytical discipline

  • Track record of structuring ABS transactions/securitization modeling

  • Excellent Excel, coding skills (e.g. SQL, Javascript, Python, VBA)

  • Numeracy, accuracy, and strong attention to detail

  • Prior experience with transportation (aviation, container, and rail) and consumer assets (sub-prime auto) preferred

  • Experience in working with rating agencies and modeling scenarios/stress-case

  • Understanding of macro market, rates, and hedging

  • Knowledge of financing facilities (Warehouse, term loan, portfolio)

  • Series 7/79 required

Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentives are combined with either a base salary or a draw, resulting in total cash compensation. More information can be obtained upon request.
