+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | DEFINITION | | | | Under the general supervision of the Coordinator Alcohol Control Unit | | or designee, the Alcohol Control Inspector performs responsible work | | in enforcing and ensuring compliance with local and federal laws, | | regulations, and policies relating to distilled spirits, wines, and | | alcoholic beverages produced within the US Virgin Islands. An | | employee in this class is expected to use judgment and initiative in | | interpreting and applying such controls. Work is performed in | | accordance with established laws, regulations, and policies. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Duties and Responsibilities: | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | DUTIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE) | | | | Determines that distilled spirits bottled for export or local | | consumption are properly labeled, stamped, and branded. | | | | Inspects Retail Liquor Store to determine compliance with labeling | | regulations. | | | | Inspects establishments selling mixed alcohol drinks to determine | | watering of beverages. | | | | Maintains custody of warehouse keys where imported liquors are | | stored, keeps records of storage, and issues warehouse stock on | | requisition in accordance with approved permits for exportation. | | | | Performs other related work as required. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
