We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate must be a registered professional engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Georgia or South Carolina. Experience working with Revit and BIM 360 on architecturally driven projects is essential. You will lead a design team on projects to deliver structural engineering construction documents, delegate tasks, and manage team members. Excellent written and communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines are crucial. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of various building components and systems is necessary. Client communication and retention experience are required, along with a willingness to grow professionally.
Responsibilities
Lead a design team on projects to deliver structural engineering construction documents.
Delegate and manage tasks assigned to other team members.
Examine complex building components with attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with clients and retain client relationships.
Progress various projects through design, review, research, and coordination with project architects and other engineers.
Provide feedback and develop staff engineers on technical design and understanding the impact of other disciplines on structural design.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines.
Essential Skills
8-12 years of experience in structural engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia or South Carolina.
Experience with Revit and BIM 360.
Client-facing experience.
Experience with education, healthcare, and commercial projects.
Strong understanding of building components and systems.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on community projects that impact quality of life.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience with architecturally driven projects.
Work Environment
You will work in our office from Monday to Thursday, 9 AM - 4 PM, with an optional work-from-home day on Friday. Training will take place in Indianapolis, IN for one week to meet and train with the team in person. Our corporate office is in Indianapolis, with additional locations in Savannah and Louisville, KY. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
