Overview

The Senior Specialist role works to create marketing solutions for customers, leverage Mastercard’s assets and marketing platforms, and deliver a consistent and differentiated consumer and stakeholder experience. This includes leveraging customer, market and business insights and market knowledge to identify, test and refine product concepts, positioning and packaging; developing sales enablement and B2B2C tools; and developing, executing and scaling marketing plans.

Role

As a senior specialist, you’ll create engaging and impactful content across various channels and platforms, including digital, social, and merchant marketing. Your role also involves executing brand marketing and sponsorship programs that drive business growth and enhance brand preference. Collaborating with cross-functional teams—such as Core Product, Sales, and other functions—you’ll identify growth opportunities, implement sponsorship assets, and develop customized co-marketing programs tailored to our customers and cardholders. Leverage all available assets to design compelling, differentiated content that highlights our value proposition and competitive edge.

All About You:

• 6+ year working experience in the advertising agencies, experience in the payment industry or fintech companies is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.

• Preferred: Expertise in the payment industry, merchant or acquirer, payment facilitator, fintech companies, superapps and developers.

• Strong understanding of Chinese digital and social media landscape.

• Good knowledge and intelligence of the China market (market/industry/consumers)

• Good track record and achievements in developing and delivering marketing programs.

• Good business acumen, with the demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently, and translate strategies into strong execution and implementation.

• Forward-thinking with creative approaches to business problems.

• Good in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Good in leading and managing agencies to deliver quality results.

• Ability to interact with and manage a matrix organization/relationship/partnership at all levels.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential
