SAIC Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia
Description
The Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer develops processes, procedures, and templates to establish the customer’s hard problem on-boarding process and shepherd candidate hard problem projects through the process.
The Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer manages the customer’s hard problem on-boarding process to accelerate innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to assist programs address the significant capability/technology challenges associated with their cutting-edge programs.
The Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer would review proposed new hard problem projects and shepherd them through the customer’s hard problem on-boarding process. This involves research, outreach, and analysis to understand what other organizations are doing related to the hard problem and determining what course is best for the customer.
The Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer continuously reviews the customer’s hard problem on-boarding process for improvement opportunities to optimize this critical process.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Must have bachelor’s degree with minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience or seven (7) years with master’s degree
Experience working across the NRO
Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Interpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations
Desired Qualifications
Proficient skills using JIRA and Confluence
Prior US military and/or IC customer experience
Knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT missions
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Knowledge of cyber security practices and how they might be applied to space
