The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Cyber Engineer with a flare for Linux Administration responsible for delivery of contextual and timely log data from network devices and systems across our enterprise. You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for our logging infrastructure that includes Splunk Enterprise and various data streams, as well as serving as, our SME for the Splunk environment for optimal design, engineering, and operations of the Splunk Enterprise platform.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing engineering and administration support in a large clustered Splunk environment consisting of search heads, deployment servers, universal forwarders, and Splunk Enterprise Security application. You will perform data onboarding for a wide array of data sources including custom log integration, editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and applications in a Linux environment, managing Splunk knowledge objects, and onboarding users into the role. Be part of a department with an expanding range of programs focusing on Cyber Operations, where you get to grow and between programs with peers who are dedicated to advancing national security.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10 years of cyber security and information security practices and demonstrated proficiency securing complex environments
• Active TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance
• Extensive experience as a Linux systems administrator
• Significant experience with installing, engineering, and maintaining Linux servers
• Experience with data stream configurations, and CRIBL
• Experience with Linux application and server performance monitoring
• Extensive experience troubleshooting, patching, and making configuration changes to Linux servers
• Ideally the candidate should have knowledge and experience equivalent to the curriculum in the below three Splunk training courses. (Certification is not a requirement.)
o Splunk Enterprise Systems Administration (12-hour course)
o Splunk Enterprise Data Administration (18-hour course)
o Splunk Cluster Administration (13.5-hour course)
• Server system administration and hardening proficiency, such as experience with Apache, Nginx; and Bind
• Experience with Linux systems administration including knowledge of and experience with:
o SELinux troubleshooting and policy configuration/creation
o Custom Linux kernel configuration and maintenance
o Syslog; iptables; grsec experience preferred
o Multiple Linux distributions (Debian-based and Redhat-based

• In depth experience designing and maintaining Splunk environments
• Candidate should be a self-starter and possess a willingness to dive into new technologies when appropriate
• Flexibility -- works well both independently and as a team player, must be eager to learn
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask, and adaptable to shifting requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$102,900 - $216,200
