AT&T has an opening for Configuration Management Team Lead. The Configuration Management Team Lead establishes the plans, policies and procedures for documenting and controlling all IT-IA-IM system components to include networks, hardware, software and associated work products throughout the system's life. Create and maintain an up-to-date record of all system components (hardware and software). Illustrate physical locations and links between each item. Establish and maintain consistency of a system or product performance, functions, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information. Perform systematic control of software changes to the identified attributes for the purpose of maintaining software integrity and traceability.

The job duties of the Configuration Management are as follows:

  • Responsible for the overall health and wellness of the Configuration Management workforce.

  • Manage the IT-IA-IM baseline configuration for all-project related work for project oversight as well as office-level oversight and control.

  • Manage the configuration of IT-IA-IM software executables to environments (development, test, staging and production).

  • Oversee, mentor, and supervise junior managers and staff.

  • Attract, develop, and assist senior leadership in performing routine performance assessments.

  • Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.

  • Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all operations and maintenance activities to upper leadership.

  • Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items.

  • Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.

  • Participate in evaluation of new network technologies and makes recommendations to network architecture team regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.

  • Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of LAN and WAN networks.

  • Monitor security posture of the network and mitigate non-compliance through scheduled maintenance.

  • Support operations by maintaining the product baseline for all network hardware, systems software, and applications software.

  • Maintain the network to ensure it follows DISA STIG guidelines.

  • Maintaining the operational configuration baseline and establishing network drawing and compliance standards.

  • Provide support to relevant Configuration Management related meetings.

  • Support the Change Management Process to ensure proper synergies with relevant data.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HP/MicroFocus network tools, such as Network Node Manager (NNM), Network Automation (NA), Operations Bridge Manager (OBM), etc.

  • Previous experience with Riverbed network tools, including NetProfiler and AppResponse.

  • Previous experience with tools related to or encompassing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

  • Previous experience with configuration management at an enterprise or large campus level.

  • Previous experience with configuration management within the ITIL framework.

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
