Robert Half Accounting Manager in Chantilly, Virginia
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the non-profit industry based in Chantilly, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with budgeting and cash flow modeling.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and maintain customer credit applications and records
• Oversee the management of fixed assets
• Handle distributions and corresponding reports for various campaigns and funds
• Collaborate with the Charitable Funds Management Service and Employee Assistance Funds departments to ensure accurate reporting
• Aid in the maintenance of the general ledger and accounting system
• Assist in the creation of reports, budgeting, and cash flow modeling in Intacct
• Work closely with the Finance team to complete monthly account reconciliations
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of finance department policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance
• Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff members
• Identify and implement ways to streamline internal processes and improve operational efficiency
• Assist in preparing for the annual financial audit, 1099 filing, and 990. Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine
• Skilled in using Concur
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to manage Accounting Functions
• Extensive knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong skills in Auditing
• Ability to manage Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct
