Manufacturing - Production Worker I

Since 1957, The Zippertubing Company has been manufacturing USA made EMI shielding, specialized heat shrink, cable bundling, heat shielding and marine fairing solutions. From re-enterable wraparound to pull-through jacketing, and from snap button to continuous zipper closures, we have solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of industries and application requirements.

We are currently seeking a Production Worker I with attention to detail capabilities. We need someone who can work hands on in the production of products with various materials and sizes. The ideal candidate must have good hand dexterity and be willing to learn new tasks and be able to be a self-starter once trained.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Start up, operate, tend, and stop a variety of equipment to performance standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Understand and ensure conformance to specifications, stop any non-conforming parts or products.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Work to applicable performance standards.
• Take instructions from supervisors and production manager.
• Adapt to changing work tasks as needed.
• Report visual and audible equipment faults to supervisors.

Potential Role Growth:

• Operate Industrial sewing machines. We will train.
• High attention to detail to potentially become an inspector with time and proper training. This skill set requires individuals to evaluate their own work and that of others.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Production hands on experience +1 year (preferred)
• Familiarity with automated equipment. (preferred)
• ISO, LEAN or other quality system experience. (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand drawings (preferred)
• Criminal background check (required)
• English (required)
• US work authorization (required)

Schedule:

• Full Time
• 10 Hour Day shift
• Monday to Thursday (5:30am 4:00pm)
• Off on most Friday\'s, Saturday\'s & Sunday\'s, unless help is required.

Compensation:

• \$16.00 - \$16.50 an hour, D.O.E.
