About the Role:

As a Business Operations Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will play a critical role in evaluating, improving, and maintaining the client’s core operational processes to ensure an efficient and productive workflow. In this role, you will assess existing processes and systems and projects, identify opportunities for improvement, and help devise more efficient and cost-effective alternatives. Specifically, a successful Business Operations Specialist will contribute to overall project management, the development of strategic plans and roadmaps, performance metrics design and development, automation support, and perform independent verification and validation of existing plans and business documentation for the client’s diverse portfolio of stakeholders and service providers. The role requires a self-starter, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.  

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • General project management 

  • Assist in developing reporting mechanisms, including the creation of a weekly Dashboard, weekly Executive Dashboard Summary, and submission to quarterly reviews.

  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for new and existing tools, procedures, and processes.

  • Develop and provide quality control for project and program-level documentation, such as Project Management Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Configuration Diagrams, and Weekly Status reports.

  • Conduct analytical support to develop standard measurement and reporting of operational programs, including ad hoc analyses.

  • Assist in developing a Metrics Framework that includes processes for capturing, analyzing, and reporting metrics for tactical and strategic decision-making.

  • Perform independent verification and validation of business documents, plans, strategies, and policies.

  • Advise the client on automation and efficiency initiatives. 

    Location:

    You will work as part of a distributed remote team.

    Required Experience/Skills: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3-7 years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong project management skills and expertise in process improvement

  • Experience in executive reporting and documentation development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and documentation formatting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Ability to pass a public trust clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident

    Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Performance management experience desired

  • Knowledge of contact center operations and related technologies

  • Previous experience supporting the IRS

  • Preexisting IRS clearance (MBI letter)
