SUMMARY
The Sr. Inside Account Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by actively managing and expanding customer accounts in collaboration with the Business Development Manager. This role involves direct customer engagement, identifying new opportunities, and providing strategic sales support to enhance customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Representative will act as a key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure Amphenol CDI is represented professionally and meets service, quality, and business objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Proactively manage assigned customer accounts by providing sales support, processing RFQs, and overseeing sales order management.
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop sales strategies, set sales objectives, and work toward achieving revenue targets.
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, understanding their needs, and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
Translate customer inquiries into sales opportunities, applying strategic logic and problem-solving to drive growth.
Provide pricing recommendations based on market trends, customer requirements, and business profitability objectives.
Work with internal teams, including operations, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure timely and effective fulfillment of customer orders and expectations.
Monitor and analyze customer purchasing patterns, forecasts, and program performance to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Manage customer performance scorecards and drive initiatives to enhance service levels and customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in resolving customer issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to maintain strong business relationships.
Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, market trends, and competitive insights to support sales initiatives.
Identify process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of sales operations and customer engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
Associate degree or two (2) years’ work experience in a specific area/field.
5+ years’ experience in customer facing Inside Sales, Sales or Business Development.
Two (2) years of experience managing large account portfolios.
Experience in the aerospace, military, and defense industry, or cable assembly business preferred.
Electrical/electronic engineering background a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual preferred.
JOB SKILLS
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills including active listening.
Excellent phone etiquette.
Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Understanding of sales performance metrics.
Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
Excellent negotiation skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods working on a computer. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
