Description and Requirements

  • Direct, coordinate, and negotiate insurance placements for the Group and its subsidiaries

  • Communicate and administer the Group’s risk and insurance programs

  • Establish appropriate policy and procedural guidelines for effective risk and insurance management

  • Evaluate and advise on appropriate risk control to minimize loss impact

  • Direct claims handling and participate in settlement of major losses

  • Analyze and assess the risks of loss of the Group’s business activities

  • Prepare periodical claims analysis and loss reports

  • Review contracts for the Group including customer, supplier, special event, real estate contracts, and advise on the insurance requirements

  • Premium allocation and budget preparation

  • Engage in risk-based studies, apply quantification models to assess risk exposure/risk tolerance and determine optimum level of insurance purchase to protect the Group's P&L

  • Deliver presentations for internal and external audience on the Group’s insurance and risk management programs and recommendations

  • Work with cross-functional and cultural teams and provide advice on insurance coverage and loss mitigation/impacts

  • Support insurance requirements for M&As

  • Network with other senior insurance practitioners and keep abreast of best practices.
