In this role you will be asked to:

  • Performing periodic maintenance and repairs on the plant's utilities (HVAC, OFA, N2, etc.) and production equipment.

  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical malfunctions to equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure that they are operating properly and safely.

  • Ensure that the equipment and Utilities, with emphasis on cooling systems are operate efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to solve technical problems.

  • Maintain equipment and Utilities to ensure that it produces accurate and precise measurements.

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position will be in charge of:

  • Conducting routine maintenance checks on all equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure they are functioning properly.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment/systems problems and repairing or replacing defective parts as necessary.

  • Performing preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment/systems efficiency.

  • Coordinating with other departments to schedule maintenance work and minimize production disruptions.

  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and any preventative maintenance measures taken.

  • Following safety protocols and regulations when performing maintenance work.

  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies.

  • Maintaining a wide variety of equipment used production and labs, including temperature sensors, pressure gauges, scales, and analytical instruments.

  • Performing routine inspections and tests on equipment.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems and repairing or replacing defective parts as necessary.

  • Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of new equipment.

  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies.

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

  • Responsible to follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in equipment/ utility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry

  • Advanced knowledge in the field of utilities (HVAC, OFA, N2, etc.)

  • Electrician's certificate – advantage Solid understanding of utility systems and electrical distribution systems, including knowledge of power distribution, controls, and instrumentation.

  • Ability to work in shifts (including nights and weekends).

  • Availability for nonroutine hours failures.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, specifications, and schematics.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

  • Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when maintaining records and documentation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.

  • Continuous improvement mindset to seek opportunities to optimize utility systems and processes / equipment performance and efficiency.

  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
