SUMMARY:

Central City is seeking a part-time paraprofessional in our preschool for the 2024-2025 school year. The position ours would be 7:55 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. with days to coincide with the school calendar.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS: Prefer they have, or willing to obtain, one of the following: -Child Development (CDA) Credential (need to be completed within 2 year of hire) -Associates/Bachelors Degree -Two Years of College if enrolled in a program that will lead to an associates or BA degree (needs to be completed within 2 years of hire)

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Take direction from the classroom teacher. Ability to work well with others. Flexibility with working with the classroom teacher. Ability to work independently. Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them. Helps provide an environment that supports position relationships and student development. Capable of representing the school in a professional manner which includes confidentiality, communication skills, and dress. Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis. Provided individualize support academically and/or behaviorally for student(s). Support bodily needs which include toileting and feeding. Ability to support student(s) physically transitioning from different place/seating in the room. With guidance of the special education teacher, help support the implementation of the student(s) IEP.
