Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for department level implementation of established safety practices on the factory floor, utilization of safety equipment and the investigation of hazardous conditions and unsafe practices in accordance with local, state and federal safety regulations.
Conduct lift truck operator, safety and fire training programs for all Company employees.
Monitor internal safety programs, assist in safety audits and occupational accident/injury investigations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma in addition to post high school training in safety and/or ergonomics preferred.
Prior experience in a safety or other EHS related position is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Power Point applications.
Ability to work independently,
Ability to prepare and present power point presentations for employee training as well as information sharing with management.
