       Job Summary:The Foods and Nutrition Site Supervisor will supervise, coordinate, and promote the Nutritional Service Program throughout the District in support of the work of the Director of School Nutrition Programs. Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a K-12 kitchen desired.

  • Knowledge of USDA/IDOE NSLP/SBP/CACFP standards desired.

  • ServSafe Certified Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

  • Successful completion of a minimum of 10 hours of assigned training annually.

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures, knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines, and to develop and maintain a filing system.

  • Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of applications as necessary to access timely and relevant information and be able to disseminate the same. Strong skills in the use of computers, math, and software programs.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, time management, and to prioritize tasks. The ability to multitask, develop and maintain recordkeeping systems, and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Integrity, professionalism, and being able to maintain confidentiality. Able to work successfully with students, parents, teachers, administrators, school staff, and the community.

  • Suited for situations that require the ability to plan ahead, yet remain flexible enough to adapt to new situations or react to emergencies. Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions

  • Suited for situations that require the ability to interact well with other people, but also the ability to work independently.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and written) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse organization. Ability to work as a team member.

  • Supervisory/Leadership ability. Self-directed; highly self-motivated; willing to learn, and highly organized.

  • Strong program planning and implementation skills. Ability to develop and present educational training and/or workshops to fellow staff members in regard to the program plans and the skills needed for implementation with fidelity.

  • Physically able to perform all responsibilities of the job.

  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory statement of health as required by law.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
