We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Supply Chain is excited to hire two Supervisors to lead a team of individuals responsible for the procurement of materials and services for Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) Power Generation and Dominion Energy Power Delivery teams. These leaders will collaborate with peer supervisors and other leaders to strategize and effectively manage the full procurement lifecycle for all services, inventory, and non-stock purchases.

The successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills and use data analytics to drive strategic decision-making. Understanding of supply chain principles, adherence to policies and procedures, and ability to influence business decisions are critical. Success drivers for departmental goals include costs savings (Total Cost of Ownership), maintaining a diverse and sustainable supply base, and complying with Dominion Energy’s high standards for safety and environmental compliance. Identifying/driving process improvements, embracing new technologies, and the ability to measure and report on critical metrics are important.

They will be responsible for day-to-day management of a team activities including workload management, goal setting and leading strategic initiatives. Along with peer supervisors, this leader manages workload and emergent support for power generation stations or power delivery 24x7.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

7 years related experience in sourcing, materials management, project management, or equivalent. Other relevant disciplines include business, finance, project management, IT systems, contracts and engineering. (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience). A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.

Specific required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and materials management processes and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of related company policies, procedures and accounting practices.

  • Understanding of financial analysis tools and techniques.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, teaming and human resource skills.

  • Effective persuasion, negotiation and customer service skills.

  • Analytical, resource assessment, decision making and issue resolution skills.

  • Ability to train and teach others with effective work management.

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft suite.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and high-volume environment.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

(A Master's degree will count as one year of experience). A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.)

Preferred Disciplines: Business, Engineering, finance, project management, IT systems, and contracts.

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
