About the Role:
As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to our user-facing Mobile Video applications for Transit and ensuring seamless and delightful experiences for our users. Your expertise in front-end technologies will drive innovation and elevate our product interfaces.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and develop responsive and performant web applications.
Collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers to implement user interfaces.
Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Mentor junior front-end engineers and contribute to their growth.
Stay up to date with the latest front-end trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
Skills:
Proficiency in:
JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
Frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Responsive design and mobile-first development.
RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
UI/UX design principles.
Experience with:
State management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
Unit testing and test-driven development.
Frontend performance profiling and optimization.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with:
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and service workers.
Internationalization (i18n) and accessibility (a11y) best practices.
GraphQL or other API query languages.
