Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe CTSS Mental Health Practitioner in Cass Lake, Minnesota

Division: Human Services Reports to: Behavioral Health Clinical Director Worksite: Behavioral Health Services Work Hours: M F, 8:00am to 4:30pm or as needed. LLBO Status: Exempt Safety Sensitive: Yes License/Certification Requirements: Valid MN Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable. Summary: Responsible for providing rehabilitative skills training to Children's Therapeutic Services & Supports (CTSS) qualifying child/adolescent clients in community and school-based settings to restore personal and social functioning to the proper developmental level. Included as part of a MN DHS certified CTSS team that provides a flexible package of mental health services to children who require varying therapeutic and rehabilitative levels of intervention. Duties/Responsibilities: Become familiar with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Human Services programs and social service and behavioral health agencies in surrounding counties. Develop rapport with guardians/parents of child client and engage the family in services and planning throughout the calendar year, as appropriate. Complete CTSS Treatment Supervision plan and comply with plan requirements for supervision based on individual qualification status and certification requirements and update plan annually and/or as qualifications change. Work with a client's MHP to develop Individual Treatment Plans for clients based on the Diagnostic Assessment. Complete Progress Notes, ITP reviews and Discharge Summaries within required time frames. Learn and develop proficiency in use of Procentive (LLBH EHRJEMR). Strive to meet program's productivity (billing) goal as appropriate to role and responsibilities. Develop and facilitate client support and skills building sessions. Collaborate with other programs to facilitate activities for the purpose of strengthening rehabilitative skills. Identify resources and advocate for client to receive services from other agencies when appropriate. Maintain client electronic health records in a timely manner. Maintain a respectful working relationship with Leech Lake Reservation programs and other area agencies. Complete 20 hours of verifiable continuing education training that pertains to serving children with emotional disturbance, every two calendar years. Seek consultation with LLBH Traditional Cultural Advisor to increase culturally relevant responsiveness and services. Provide transportation when needed. Meet deadlines and prioritize workload. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Attend program activities outside normal working hours, as necessary. Attend and or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required. Always maintain confidentiality and professional ethics. Travel as job and training requires. Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture. Adhere to policies governing staff conduct. All other related duties as assigned.
