Systems Engineer - Cary NC
Our client is an industrial manufacturing company looking to hire a Systems Engineer. The focus of this role will be on Windows administration, storage/backup/DR solutions, and Hyperconverged Infrastructure. The job would be Contract to Hire (convert around 6-12 months) and is onsite 4 days a week in Cary NC.

Top Skills
3-5 years working in Hyperconverged Infrastructure environment.
Dell VxRail is most relevant, but any kind of HCI experience is good.
ex) HCI, Cisco Hyperflex, DataCore SANsymphony, HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix HCI, NetApp HCI, Scale Computing Platform (SC Platform), StarWind Virtual SAN, VMware vSAN.
Windows infrastructure experience
PowerShell, Active Directory, SQL, Windows server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022.
Backup and storage experience. Cloud computing is nice to have.
ex) Commvault, Symantec, Veritas NetBackup, Rubrik, Veeam, Azure.
Bachelor's degree required.
Responsibilities
Planning, implementation, and support of global compute, storage, backup, and DR infrastructure solutions for the Engineered Materials Group (EMG). You will provide support for both regional data centers as well as individual facilities.
Server monitoring - remediating server health and performance issues.
Troubleshoot compute issues and implement changes via ITIL change management framework.
Automation for routine maintenance on endpoints.
Replacing compute and storage infrastructure.
Deploying backup solutions.
Testing and deploying DR solutions for critical applications.
Evaluating environment to ensure compliance with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.
Creating technical documentation.
Periodic on-call for after hours and weekends.
Knowledge of network layers (OSI model).
