Sanilac County Parks Parks Caretaker - Maintenance Worker in Carsonville, Michigan
Sanilac County Parks is hiring a full-time, year-round Parks Caretaker/Maintenance Worker at Forester Park. This individual will work weekends and holidays, May through October.
Duties:
- Aid in cleaning all restrooms
- Patrol park and maintain noise levels
- Pick up paper and debris in park areas
- Mow and groom park lawns
- Assist in recreation implementation
- Perform a wide variety of other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to serve the public beyond a forty (40) hour work week, including weekends and holidays
- Able to deal efficiently and tactfully with employees and the general public
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical strength and agility to be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and lift heavy objects
- Willing to work in unpleasant conditions, such as; excessively hot or cold temperatures, noisy surroundings, etc.
Pay grade 3: $15.06 per hour to start, with a 7-step pay scale
