United Musculoskeletal Partners Refund Analyst in Carrollton, Texas
DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of the position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Research credits on patient’s accounts to determine if a refund is needed
Must understand how to read and interpret EOB’s
Must understand patient insurance and ability to determine if patient has met deductible and out of pocket
Correct errors in accounts as needed and Work Returned mail/Checks
Respond to patient questions timely and accurately
Customer Service
Answering phones and assisting patients, taking payments, Retrieve General Billing Voicemails and forwarding to appropriate extension if needed
Must be Detailed oriented
Report Collection Status Accounts to Collection Agency and correspond with collection agency when needed
Reverse Bad Debt and collection Adjustments when balances are paid
Move Credit balances from one date of service to visits with balances
Work on Excel Spread sheets
Communicate with Billers on accounts with questionable balances
Must be Detailed Oriented

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of (2) years hands on billing or collections experience within a physician’s office or related field. Experience with patient credit balances. Experience with patient collections.
