Pioneer (an ASSA ABLOY branded company) is looking to add a Quality Technician Inspector to our Team. This is an on-site role that will be based in our manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

What would you do as our Quality Technician Inspector?

You would perform dimensional and visual inspections of doors and frames to support production lines. Performs nondestructive testing when required. Performs data collection to support line historical data requirements and or machine studies.

You would also:

  • Performs door and frame inspection to meet established requirements.

  • Completes all required documentation and record keeping.

  • Understands and utilizes electronic systems to support inspections; AS-400.

  • Assists production in solving product quality problems. Typically leads and or helps with any containment actions and identifies product to support the rework / remake process.

  • Assist Team Leaders to support quality system requirements.

  • Supports raw material incoming inspection.

  • Supports calibration system requirements.

  • Maintains work area and inspection equipment in accordance with 5S practices.

  • Actively participates as a functioning team member of problem-solving teams as appropriate.

  • Conduct root cause analysis with a wide range of approaches, tools, and techniques to identify the real cause of quality issues.

  • Conduct quality control audits.

    The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Three (3) to four (4) years in a Quality Control role; or,

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years in manufacturing

  • Understanding of how to use gauging instruments including hardness tester.

  • Understand visual standards and customer requirements.

  • Ability to work proactively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems

  • ASQ Quality Technician Certification

  • Door and Frame Manufacturing experience
