Robert Half Accounts Receivable Lead in Carlsbad, California
Description
We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Lead for leading manufacturing company in Carlsbad, CA. The role involves overseeing and mentoring a team, optimizing processes, ensuring accurate application of payments, handling escalated collections, generating reports, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
Responsibilities:
• Supervising and mentoring a team to facilitate detail oriented growth and development.
• Streamlining AR processes to enhance operational efficiency and minimize the accounts receivable cycle.
• Monitoring cash flow activities and ensuring timely and accurate application of payments using NetSuite.
• Tactfully handling complex collection issues and resolving customer escalations.
• Generating AR aging reports and providing management with regular updates on outstanding balances, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with sales, customer service, and finance teams to align efforts and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in AR, including auditing, billing functions, and cash applications
• Demonstrated skills in collections management, with a focus on commercial collections
• Experience with NetSuite software is required
• Strong ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring efficient and effective operations
• Proven track record of successfully managing and reducing outstanding account balances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with other departments and clients
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance related to accounts receivable
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
