ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Activity Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement a comprehensive calendar of activities, ensuring a balanced schedule that avoids conflicts.
Coordinate with coaches, club sponsors, and other staff to schedule practices, competitions, and meetings.
Works with official schedulers to provide officials for middle school activities.
Oversee the recruitment and training of volunteers and staff to assist with activities.
Actively recruit students to participate in school activities.
Budget Management:
Consult with the Activity Director regarding financial needs.
Prepares the proper documentation for paying officials and essential workers for middle school activities.
Facility and Equipment Management:
Schedule and oversee the use of school facilities for practices, competitions, and events.
Maintain and inventory all equipment and supplies used for extracurricular activities.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure facilities are safe and well-maintained.
Student Supervision and Safety:
Enforce school policies and procedures for student conduct and safety at all activities.
Ensure appropriate supervision of students during practices, competitions, and events.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
Communication and Public Relations:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members regarding extracurricular activities.
Promote school activities through various channels, such as social media, newsletters, and local media.
Compliance and Management:
Maintain accurate records of student participation, eligibility, and injuries.
Monitors and keeps accurate records of athletic physical for student-athletes.
Reviews safety equipment and helps secure needed equipment to maintain safe facilities.
Schedules all district facility usage for both school-related and non-related activities.
In coordination with the Director of Technology, provides access to community partners for use of equipment and facility sites.
Oversees the use and access to all district facilities by outside athletic clubs, teams, and community partners and the coordination of following procedures and policies to maintain school safety.

Required to work evenings and weekends to supervise activities and events as deemed necessary by the district.
May assist at any high school events that are needed as requested by the Activities Director.
