Process Technician (Injection Molding)
Job Description:
We are looking for a Process Technician to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the injection molding process in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will be responsible for mold repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper execution of mold changes and tool set-ups on injection mold machines . The process technician will oversee mold start-ups, shutdowns, and cycle times, as well as perform preventative maintenance (PM) on molds and tooling. You will work closely with robots, hydraulic systems, and various machinery to ensure efficient and quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee injection mold process and manage mold changes, ensuring first runs are correct.
Troubleshoot and repair injection mold machinery (420-ton to 1,600-ton clamp force).
Perform mold and tool set-ups , ensuring proper assembly, disassembly, and cleaning.
Oversee preventative maintenance (PM) schedules for molds and tooling, utilizing a CMMS system .
Monitor and adjust cycle times for optimal machine performance.
Work with robots , overseeing touchpoints and making minor adjustments to programs.
Operate overhead cranes (remote-controlled) and work with hydraulic hoses and machinery tooling.
Use computer systems for documentation and monitoring processes.
Ensure quality by checking parts during production runs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
At least 2 years of process technician experience in the injection molding industry.
Experience working with injection mold machines .
Basic computer skills to document and track processes.
Experience with mold and tool set-ups .
Knowledge of basic PM (preventative maintenance), including assembling, disassembling, and cleaning molds and tools.
PLUSES:
Experience with robots , including minor adjustments to programs.
Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
Ability to operate overhead cranes and tow motors .
Experience with 5S or process improvement initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $18.79 - $26.41/hr.
