The Staff Accountant, Client Accounting, is a key member of the Finance team and is responsible for a wide variety of Finance functions.  This role is responsible for day-to-day data entry into QuickBooks and Great Plains accounting software along with payroll and banking duties.  The Finance function adheres to tight schedules for month and year end reporting, thus requiring the Staff Accountant to closely collaborate with other members of the Finance department and other support staff to ensure timely, accurate reporting.  Transactional duties are more fully described below.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Researching and classifying transactions in QuickBooks daily
• Inputting invoices and running AP check runs
• Completing bi-weekly payroll
• Generating monthly financial statements in QuickBooks
• General Ledger data entry
• Download and uploading banking information for inter-departmental use
• Assisting Accounting Manager with corporate accounting tasks, including, but not limited to:
  • Accounts Payable entry
  • Bank Deposits
  • Monthly invoicing
  • General Ledger Data entry
  • Mail Distribution

Skills Required

• Basic Accounting knowledge
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• QuickBooks experience highly preferred

• Attention to detail
