About the Role

The Food and Beverage Assistant manager will oversee the food and beverage outlet within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Building and nurturing positive, professional relationships with both guests and colleagues alike.

  • Outlet staff schedule.

  • Managing service across all outlets and service periods.

  • Ensuring outlets are prepared for service according to defined standards.

  • Conducting pre-service meetings.

  • Ensuring all opening, handover and closing checklists are complete.

  • Ensure that all relevant guest information is being communicated to staff and the kitchen.

  • Communicating to Restaurant/Lounge manager all issues as they arise.

  • Daily administrative and reporting.

  • Developing and maintaining service standards.

  • Restaurant supplies inventory.

Qualifications:

  • F&B Management experience preferred

  • Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred

  • strong organizational skills, the ability to work with a flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader

  • Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills

  • A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
