    What you’ll be doing

    The APAC e-Commerce Manager has responsibility to own, develop and optimize the E-Commerce strategy across APAC. Based in Canberra or remote and works primarily with Trek businesses in Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, and India . This role forms part of the APAC Marketing and E-Commerce team .

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    This is a newly created role to support Trek Asia-Pacific’s (APAC) budding ecommerce business. You will be responsible for strategic ownership and leadership of e-commerce across the region. 

      Asia-Pacific E-Commerce Strategy Development

  • Own and drive the APAC e-Commerce business, including development and delivery of a strategic roadmap  

  • Drive the e-commerce cause across the business, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders in all markets (these include Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, China, India and other developing markets) 

  • Set KPIs and scorecards for monitoring and supporting each markets performance 

  • Partner with Customer Care, Logistics and other internal departments, to optimize the E-Commerce operation to offer customers an excellent shopping experience   

  • Keep informed of industry trends and differences in consumer expectations, technology, and other local requirements across the region  

  • Learn the back-end systems underpinning our e-commerce setup, and collaborate with our in-house technical teams to identify opportunities and drive efficiencies  

    Lead major e-commerce projects

  • Project manage major e-commerce projects rolling out to the region, including opening up new sales channels or marketplaces  

  • Collaborate with the US headquarters team to advocate for APAC project localization across areas of the business

    Train and Support In-Country Ecommerce Employees

  • Support a team dedicated ecommerce employees around the region, ensuring they have everything they need to be successful in their roles  

  • Drive consistency in our in-country approach to ecommerce through communicating the strategic roadmap, project updates, and advising on local market decisions  

  • Collate and prioritise technical and operational asks from the region to the US headquarters to ensure we’re working on what’s valuable to the business  

  • Monitor KPIs and communicate scorecard performance  

    Own the E-Commerce P&L and provide reporting which offers insights into performance

  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on market performance, and offer actionable insights   

  • Communicate report findings with global and regional teams  

  • Analyse sales results, platform performance and marketing campaigns 

      Ongoing optimization of Trekbikes.com for an APAC audience

  • Support APAC leadership to co-ordinate, prioritise and communicate APAC trekbikes.com needs to US headquarters team  

  • Project manage and coordinate APAC launch of new e-commerce tools, site upgrades, plug-ins, content requirements   

    Who you are

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology or related field ; or equivalent experience 

  • Minimum 5 years’ E-Commerce experience 

  • Strong understanding of E-Commerce operations  

  • Team player with a founders mentality 

  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills both internally and externally  

  • Strong planning, organizational skills, analytical skills, and ability to multi-task  

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills  

  • Experience working cross-culturally is preferred  

  • Passion for outdoors, sports, and cycling  

    Being an APAC role, flexibility to meet with international colleagues at a mutually beneficial time will be regularly required . There may also be a need to travel from time to time.
