We now have a national presence with current projects, spanning coast to coast, including North Carolina. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are looking to hire several Pipefitter Apprentices to join our self-perform team for ongoing work on Camp Lejeune, NC. As an Apprentice at RQ, you will get the unique opportunity to advance your career by learning the Pipefitting trade, while working alongside Journeyman Pipefitters. You will participate in both classroom, and on the job training to ultimately have a long-term career as a Journeyman Pipefitter.
All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the Camp Lejeune, NC military base. Enrollment into the Apprenticeship program is required for this position.
During the program, Apprentice/Helper's will be responsible for assisting Journeyman and Foreman level pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Requirements for this position include:
High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position.
Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work with piping systems in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is preferred; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
Courses in construction, or pipefitting preferred.
