Job Description:
L3Harris seeks an Associate Manager of Supplier Quality for the Aerojet Rocketdyne segment. Supplier Quality Assurance is a vital function contributing to the overall Product Value Proposition for the Aerojet Rocketdyne Enterprise. This function works seamlessly with Supply Chain and Material Management and the Programs to achieve the delivery of quality products on time and at cost. The manager of Supplier Quality will lead the Supplier Quality Assurance organization for the Western US region and support the Space Power and Propulsion System related programs.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include the leadership of the Source Inspectors who are regionally based supporting product shipping all facilities within the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris. The Associate Manager of Supplier Quality will also assist with the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Source Inspection best practices, tools and methodology. The position will require an enterprise view and a leader who can influence and lead positive change throughout the business including partnerships with Aerojet Rocketdyne sites, Programs, Supply Chain Management, Engineering and other stakeholders.
50% - Support Source Inspectors around the country to ensure conforming product is delivered to the Aerojet Rocketdyne sites. Work with suppliers in problem resolutions including initiation and closure of root cause and corrective actions. Ensure risks are properly documented, managed and mitigated.
25% - Improve and communize the source inspection process for the Aerojet Rocketdyne segment. Ensure consistent application of these processes by regional source inspectors. Train source inspectors in the processes and ensure process discipline.
25% Support management by participating in site, program and proposal activities/ Work with Supply Chain to develop and lead initiatives to improve supply chain performance. Facilitate continuous improvement activities use tools defined by the business operating system. Develop supplier improvement methodologies and implementation plans.
Ability travel up to 30% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years prior related quality experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related quality experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Advanced degree in a related field
CQE, CME or CSSBB
Experience leading a Supplier Quality team in a multi-site manufacturing environment with a track record of delivering quality performance improvements in the supply chain.
Progressively responsible technical experience in Supplier Quality, Quality or Supply Chain disciples in the Aerospace or related field.
Strong leadership, problem solving and written/verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated team player with the ability to motivate others and inspire change.
Ability to mentor and coach individuals
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in. For California, Seattle, WA, and Washington State , the salary range for this role is $94,000 - $ 175,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
