The Journeyman Program/Project Management Analyst will support Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation & Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)), providing program management, technical, and business analysis for various weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Journeyman Program/Project Management Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Applying analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives.

  • Analyzing requirements, status, budget, and schedules for various programs/projects.

  • Performing management, technical, or business case analyses.

  • Collecting, completing, organizing, and interpreting data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.

  • Tracking program/project status and schedules to ensure timely and successful completion.

  • Applying government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management, and data management.

  • Supporting the preparation and update of program/project status reports and presentations.

  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of program/project documentation in compliance with Department of Defense policies and procedures.

  • Participating in program definition meetings, management planning meetings, and other relevant program/project discussions.

  • Ensuring compliance with all current policies, business principles, and legislation applicable to military acquisition programs.

  • Performing additional duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in program management, technical, or business analysis, of which at least 2 years must have been in technical efforts supporting major weapons systems and components development.

  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience (for a minimum of 5 years) performing duties described in the functional description.

  • Four (4) years additional work experience (for a minimum of 7 years) performing duties described in the functional description.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and schedules.

  • Knowledge of Department of Defense policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series).

  • Experience processing program acquisition, funding, and contract documentation for military programs.

  • Familiarity with change control management and data management processes.
