Job Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED completion
- Possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Obtain a Class A CDL within 12 months of hire date (company paid)
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug testing
- Must be physically able to perform manual labor when needed
- Must have basic computer proficiency and have familiarity with or the ability to learn the basic functions of Microsoft Excel
- Self-starter who completes work to a high standard with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, patient, reliable, and good communication skills
- Must reside in the Burley Declo area
Description of Duties:
- Maintain assigned area within the Irrigation District (approximately 150 E to 550 E in Burley) during the irrigation season (Mar - Oct)
- Assist with offseason maintenance of canals, facilities, and equipment
- Assist in ditch spraying, burning, and weed control
- Remove and dispose of weeds and trash
Preference for the Advanced Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with maintenance of irrigation canals and/or pumps
- Established record of safe operation of heavy equipment
- Established record of safe operation of commercial vehicles
- Experience/certification in mechanics, welding, and concrete work
- Certifications for aquatic weed control and pest control
