Delaware North Senior Accountant, Hybrid in Buffalo, New York
The Opportunity
Delaware North is hiring a Senior Accountant to join the accounting team based out of our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As a Senior Accountant, you will assist the accounting team with multiple initiatives including: general ledger close optimization and the streamlining of end-to-end accounting processes. You will review client sales and related rent calculation and reporting for the Sportservice subsidiary of Delaware North.
This role will be hybrid, based out of our Buffalo, NY office.
Salary for this role is based on several factors. The anticipated salary will be $78K - $85K.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $58458 - $76800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities
Provide accounting support across our growing business, including reporting, controls, reconciliations, and feedback for site finance teams.
Develop and document accounting processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Oversee and review monthly journal entry postings and prepare reconciliation reports for the monthly close, following up on questions and information requests after review.
Prepare financial reports and requested documents for ad-hoc requests, in support of the company’s internal and external audits.
Investigate variances and reporting discrepancies and communicate issues as they arise in a timely manner.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance required.
3+ years in a general accounting role; large multi-national company or hospitality industry experience is a plus. CPA is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of GAAP.
Proficiency in MS Office and general ERP experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to operate with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
