Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Buffalo, New York
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm
Job Description:
Join our team as a Material Handler , where you will play a key role in supporting production operations and helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment. In this position, you'll be responsible for providing vital labor support to the production shop while ensuring continuous adherence to safety, environmental, productivity, and quality standards. Success will be measured by your ability to work safely, meet customer requirements, and maintain an organized and effective work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Comply with all customer and company policies, including work and safety rules.
Provide support to Production, Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams as needed.
Perform mechanical assembly tasks, such as mounting equipment, instrumentation, and tank internals, as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Handle shipping and receiving duties, including loading/unloading trucks, receiving parts and equipment, preparing skids, and maintaining stock.
Assist with painting tasks, including set-up, surface preparation, degreasing, and clean-up.
Perform general shop maintenance, such as equipment repairs, shop and yard clean-up, and participating in health and safety meetings and inspections.
Effectively multitask to ensure optimal shop efficiency throughout your shift.
Communicate with coworkers and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate tasks.
Be punctual, prepared, and ready to contribute to team success.
Follow additional job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested.
Essential Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic math skills and ability to use basic measuring instruments.
Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Trade school certificate preferred, but not required.

Work Environment:
Industrial environment with varying temperatures (cold in the winter, warm in the summer).
Exposure to noise from operating machinery, moving equipment, and vehicles, as well as fumes, dust, and mist.
Regular physical requirements include lifting and carrying 30-75 pounds, occasional lifting over 75 pounds, continuous standing and walking, and regular climbing and balancing.
Strong hearing and visual acuity are required to monitor machinery and read measurement tools.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
