Job Description:
Plan, direct and coordinate activities involved in the acquisition, decontamination, storage, assembly, cleaning and sterilization of medical, surgical and related supplies, materials and equipment utilized in the care and treatment of patients and the operation of Sterile Processing. Develop and implement policies, procedures and maintain quality assurance initiatives as required by external review agencies to ensure that established standards are maintained. Establish and maintain an ongoing inservice education program in the department. Interface regularly with Operating Room staff, advising physicians, nurses and other personnel regarding products, supplies, equipment, services, instrumentation, and other issues necessary to perform designated patient care medical and surgical procedures. Monitor and coordinate all activities related to the production and distribution of case carts. Assist in such duties as may be assigned or delegated including analysis of personnel and recommendations regarding policies and procedures. Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and schedules.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare or similar field preferred. 5 years of experience in Central Processing required. 2 years of supervisory experience preferred. Cert Registered Central Service Tech, Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required, or Certified Surgical Technologist required. Reg Specific Continuing Education (10hrs) required.

Salary Range:
$64,786-$99,938 annually Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
