M&T Bank Investment Banking Middle Office Analyst in Buffalo, New York
In addition to Buffalo, NY, this role may also be hybrid based in our Bridgeport, CT or Williston, VT locations.
Overview:
Responsible for all levels of Loan Syndication Administration and Processing, with a special focus on more complex items and effectively conveys pertinent information and issues escalations to all business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures the timely and accurate execution of loan servicing and maintenance activities.
Ensure that syndicated deals are booked accurately on the loan system inclusive of investor exposure and fees.
Review and validate assignment and assumption documents, confirms, and funding memos as buyer/seller.
Assists Syndicated Sales team with calculations of current positions. Validate wire funds for investors as part of closings, coordinates incoming investor funds.
Maintains Agency tasks on DebtX. Organizes and uploads covenant documents, financial statements, etc. to Agency Sites for Investors. Monitors reports to ensure all covenant requirements are met on time. Escalate to Line of Business or Customer for any outstanding items.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Education and Experience Required:
Associates’ degree and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or related work experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent Math and Reading skills
Superior Communication and Customer Service Skills
Highly Organized
Ability to Multi-tasking, re-prioritize as needed without losing focus on all tasks
Preferred Experience:
AFS Level 3 and/or AFS Vision system knowledge
General Ledge/Accounting/Reconciliation
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $24.76 - $41.27 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
