STARTING RATE: $23.00 hr. ($23.00 - $25.00 hr. dependent upon experience.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to conduct treatment procedures which aim to improve a patient’s day-to-day functioning despite impairment or limited mobility. This position is also responsible for preparing equipment for treatment and occasional clerical duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct treatment procedures
Prepare equipment for treatment
Clerical duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
New York State Occupational Therapist licensure
Current CPR certification
Physical strength to lift between 50-100lbs
Able to collaborate with a wide range of health care disciplines, as well as offer insight to patient and family members
Possess thorough knowledge of the educational and therapeutic values of occupational therapy, as well as the procedures and principles of administration, organization and management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
