Description
Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a family owned manufacturing company that is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join their finance department as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the company. Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and entering data into the accounting system.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Generate and send out invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and communicate with customers regarding payment status.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in accounts receivable.
Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Provide support to the finance team as needed, including assisting with audits and financial reporting.
Requirements
Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
