Looking for a great new office role in Cheektowaga, NY? Large manufacturing company currently reviewing candidates for Accounts Receivable Specialist opportunity. Associates Degree in Accounting or Credit. Entry level role. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. o Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Responsibilities
AR Collections
Constant interaction with customers
Apply check receipts to open AR invoices (backup)
Prepare daily bank deposits
Running credit checks on new customers and complete credit package
Maintain Customer Credit limit file
Release Credit Holds and process credit card payments
Clean up outstanding credits on customer aging's
Assist/Prepare AR Debit/Credit memos and works with customer service department regarding RMA's
Print/Mail/Email Monthly statements
Cross train with other accounting staff for out of office coverage
Work with sales team on past due accounts
Processes customer requests for invoice copies & sends correspondence to expedite collection of accounts.
Process freight invoices, credits and debits in SharePoint and other tasks as assigned.
Skills
Accounts Receivable
AR Collections (1 year of experience is preferred)
Microsoft Excel (3 years of experience is preferred)
Microsoft Word (3 years of experience is preferred)
Basic Math (3 years of experience is preferred)
