Your New Role…

Join Warner Bros. Discovery as a dedicated LATAM Payroll Manager within the Global Business Services People and Culture Shared Services Payroll Department. The Payroll Manager leads payroll administration, conducting audits, and implementing best practices in payroll processes. The Manager is responsible for researching and responding to payroll inquiries, supporting internal audits, and preparing materials for external and internal auditors. This role will drive process standardization, automation, and improved controls to ensure process effectiveness and efficiencies. Active participation in special projects is expected. Your Role Accountabilities…

International Payroll Execution:

Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls in the LATAM.

Ensure payroll service delivery is accurate, timely and aligned with service level agreements.

Manage the ongoing relationship with payroll vendor(s) for LATAM.

Collaborate closely with Safeguard payroll provider for precise and punctual processing.

Leadership:

Develop and maintain a well-trained payroll team.

Coach and mentor staff to ensure each person excels individually and as a team with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Manage payroll vendor relations within LATAM

Manage the ongoing relationship with payroll vendor(s) for LATAM.

Track and log global payroll vendor’s performance (i.e., open tickets, SLAs, etc).

Review and validate vendor invoices for payroll services.

Facilitate regular status meetings with the vendor.

Escalate issues and risks to the vendor and within WBD.

Compliance and Point of Contact:

Act as the primary contact for the outsourced payroll service provider.

Ensure compliance with payroll processing calendars for each country.

Serve as the point of contact for international payroll operations, employee issues, benefits, and inquiries related to payroll tools and processes.

Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal/external parties.

Manage ticket requests in the case management system for payment issuance and other payroll issues.

Ensure payroll service delivery is accurate, timely and aligned with service level agreements.

Identify opportunities and help to implement continuous improvements for procedures in the payroll area.

Support internal audits in various payroll areas and prepare materials for external and internal auditors.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

Work closely with the local P&C team and the payroll vendor on all payroll related reporting.

Compile statistics and reports regularly, including ad hoc requests and Year-end reporting.

Perform data analysis by running reports and utilizing Excel functionality.

Manage Year End Reporting.

Testing and Special Projects:

Participate in testing of payroll systems or process changes and enhancements.

Contribute to other special projects as required.

Manage LATAM integration process for payroll.

Point of contact regarding the update of LATAM payroll data to the general ledger (work with Technology to resolve any translation/interface issues and perform payroll account reconciliations as needed).

Provide global payroll reporting services to P&C, Finance, Accounting and Legal as needed.

Assist and support key stakeholders in Finance by providing information needed for account reconciliation, tax, and other financial processes (e.g., preparation of salary and vacation accruals) as needed.

Facilitate and support current payroll processes as part of interim procedures during the payroll implementation/rollout.

Qualifications & Experience…

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll operations, supporting Latin American markets. Experience in a shared service & large multi-business unit organization is a plus.

Leadership skills: +3 years of experience leading teams across the region.

Education: bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Payroll certification a plus.

Must be bilingual in Spanish / English speaking.

Exceptional communication and customer service skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly at all levels and in English.

Technical Skills: Experience with Workday HR/Safeguard payroll or other SaaS payroll tools required (SAP or PeopleSoft) with payroll integration and mass data loads (EIB) preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft is required, particularly with MS Excel.

Process Management: Knowledge of payroll and compensation practices (salary, taxes, etc) and statutory requirements for LATAM, plus Basic knowledge of compensation/benefit practices and statutory requirements across provinces in LATAM are required.

Skilled in process management, improvements, and re-engineering. Ability to manage high volume activities on time, in a fast-paced environment.

Union Requirements: Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and union pension health and welfare preferred.
