The Operator II Coal Handler's primary responsibilities include operating coal handling equipment & general labor duties including but not limited to: clean-up of equipment, work areas and grounds. This position will report directly to the Team Leader and will work at our facility in Brush, CO
Pay Range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour

24-7 12 hour shifts rotating days and night
What you will be doing:
Operating yellow equipment
Walking, shoveling and washing of conveyor system
Routine inspections
Preventive maintenance
Cross train and willingness to assist in the different functions performed at the facility
Operate a locomotive -we provide training and certification!
Participate in and promote Savage safety program
Requirements of a successful Operator:
Ability to perform basic maintenance
Basic computer skills
Ability to attend and pass all training associated with job related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat and FRA related courses.
Ability to travel to other sites to assist in switching and training requirements
Willingness to wear required PPE
Ability to work Holidays as required
Clear drug / alcohol test / criminal background check
One year or more of Rail Industry and/or yellow equipment experience is a plus
Work experience in an industrial environment
Valid driver’s license
Savage is a Military Friendly Employer - Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
A high school diploma, or equivalent
Here are some of the physical requirements of this role
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable with heights
Walk 5+ miles per day on uneven terrain, etc.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
