Job Description

General Purpose:

Perform janitorial and laboratory tasks. Promote best practices and a discipline to standard work. Work closely and in partnership with quality and the leadership team to build one-team with one purpose.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory and sanitation technician vacation relief

  • Perform cleaning procedures required by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and other required duties to maintain assigned areas sanitary and clean

  • Follow all DFA Good manufacturing procedures (GMP’S) and work in a manner consistent with all the corporate and regulatory food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal regulations

  • Safety use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility following provided guidelines

  • Maintain offices, restrooms, locker rooms, non-production hallways, and breakrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant

  • Maintain inventory levels of plant supplies, including sanitation, laboratory, and PPE supplies

  • Follow all safety regulations

  • Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

  • Perform testing on ingredients and finished products according to required methods

  • Data entry/accurate record keeping

  • Calibration/maintenance of lab equipment

  • Lab correlation program testing

  • Communicate information effectively and timely with management

  • Environmental monitoring, pre-operational equipment inspections

  • Good laboratory practices

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Laboratory experience preferred
