U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Responsibilities:
As a Pega Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing Pega based applications that meets our business needs for the Bank’s fraud and dispute claims management system
Customize Pega applications by extending out of the box functionality through the development of custom rules activities integrations and user interfaces
Integrate Pega applications with external systems, databases, web services and APIs
Conduct unit testing integration testing and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of Pega applications
Act as a liaison between the Business Architect BA, Business Product Owners, Stakeholders, Lead Business Analysts and IT PEGA teams effectively translating between technical and non-technical team members
Optimize solutions by conducting detailed code and design reviews to ensure high code quality
Defect fixes and debugging using clipboard tool for the application PEGA code in different testing phases deployment planning
Perform root cause analysis of production issues and work to provide appropriate solutions.
Prepare technical design documents, deployment checklists and code review documents and production implementation.
Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Code, test, debug and modify complex applications built on PEGA PRPC (PegaRULES Process Commander).
Develop PEGA PRPC workflows for the Bank’s fraud and dispute claims management system.
Perform root cause analysis of production issues and work to provide appropriate solutions.
Prepare technical design documents, deployment checklists and code review documents and production implementation.
Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
Must include 2 years of experience with each of the following:
Pegasystems PRPC Platforms 7.X, 8.X, Infinity; Developing high level class structure and workflows using PEGA PRPC; Integrating PEGA PRPC applications to external systems to retrieve and send data; Software methodologies including Scrum and Kanban; and Agile methodologies, Java, Jenkins, Jira, SQL, REST APIs, and XML.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer, or a related occupation
The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office requirement of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00 - $127,050.00
