Job Summary:

This position serves as the lead support staff for Parking and Transportation Services at the Conrad Welcome Center. Provides customer service, data management, accounts receivable, inventory control, ordering, daily reconciliation, and billing. Develops correspondence, tracks data for ancillary programs such as carpool, shuttle, and car sharing. Reporting is upward to the Director and downward to student employees.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains a positive image to ensure a welcomed atmosphere.

  • Greets and serves customers, assists with permit issuance, provides basic campus information, and cash drawer duties.

  • Prepares and distributes department publications.

  • Serves as the back up to front-line staff: cashier, monitors phones; manages multiple email accounts, submits online forms.

  • Resolves problems and settles complaints.

  • Collects parking fees and fines. Reconciles budget on a daily basis.

  • Supports the various ancillary services and programs offered: Eagle Run shuttle, car sharing, and

carpooling.

  • Pulls reports, analyzes and troubleshoots for customers

  • Prepares customer permit requests, confirms logistics, costs and resources needed, prepares invoices, and

collects payment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Promotion: one year of service in a clerical title allocated to Grade 6 and above; and completion of a two-year traineeship.

Non-competitive: high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; and two years of experience in administrative support which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing),

  • Successful completion of the traineeship requires taking eight courses in the following competencies: Professionalism and Self-Management, Verbal and Written Communication, Interpersonal and Customer Relations, and Computer Skills and Technology. It must include instruction in each of the following topics: office organization and management; business writing; customer service; and Microsoft Word basics.

** Certification (e.g., IAAP Certified Administrative Professional), diploma, or associate’s degree in office administration, secretarial science, administrative assistance, paralegal, business technology, or office technology substitutes for two years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service.

• Has excellent attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a busy environment while managing numerous priorities and demands.

• Proficient with various computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Willing to learn new computer skills.

• Able to work with members of diverse college community in a professional manner.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, M-F; 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Salary and Benefits:

$46,306
