Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax preparation services, utilizing various accounting software systems, and maintaining financial records. This role is based on-site and requires proficiency in QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and CCH Tax Prep Software.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals or small businesses.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Drake Tax Software, and CCH Prosystem for tax preparation and bookkeeping.

• Maintain and manage financial records, including expense reporting and documentation.

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to their tax preparation.

• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all tax preparations.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry, computation, and presentation of financial data.

• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all tax preparation activities.

• Leverage skills like deductibles and expense reporting to provide effective tax preparation services.

• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems is required.

• Experience with Drake Tax Software, Intuit ProSeries, Lacerte Tax Software, and CCH Prosystem is a must.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential.

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.

• Knowledge of deductible, documentation, and expense reporting techniques is needed.

• Ability to maintain and organize financial records accurately.

• Bookkeeping experience is necessary.

• Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of tax preparation procedures.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations is essential.

• Candidates must have strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills are needed.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
